The food was not bad, but nothing really stood out. The warm watery sweet snd sour sauce served with the fried wontons was a no for me. Why Chinese hot mustard was not served confused me. Soup was what we ordered. One beef wor wonton and one bbq pork wor wonton. Portions were generous, and at least not overly salty/msg. I miss the real McCoy from China, so I am spoiled with real flavors. It's worth a try. Update.... I came back on Saturday the 9th (Sept), and I had another taste of their soup. I'm glad I did. It was just as good as the first time. Service was just okay, and about the same as first time. I was glad to not get those cheap wonton stixs as a type of free taster. That's not Chinese folks. The atmosphere is basic, so don't expect fancy. Tables are clean, and the seating is good. It looks like they do brisk takeout or catering. Next time I visit, I'll get something else off the menu. We went to Golden Chopsticks with family and friends. We had 10 people total. The service was EXTREMELY fast and they had all the food on the table within 15-20 minutes (it was so quick we ran out of space for all the food we ordered and they had to give us another table just so we had more space). We really liked the waiters and waitresses at the restaurant. They spoke Mandarin and English, they were very friendly and served us quickly. The food was very americanized Chinese food but they did have some dishes that were very authentic Chinese as well. We loved the fried chicken (we liked it so much we ordered 2 :) I would definitely go back to this restaurant again.

Went here today I had the beef and noodles it was amazing! My friend got the sweet pork chops they were also delicious! We also ordered a side of fried rice we were not too pleased with. Our server Jesus heard us out and he had no problem talking it off the bill. That was much appreciated! Mishaps happen in this industry, the fact that he handled it so well was just amazing. Definitely check this place out: lunch specials are only M-F 10am-3pm $15.75 combo plates. The portions are huge bring some friends! We also got the exact same fortune cookie that was hilarious!

The food at Golden Chopsticks Mira Mesa is just as GREAT here as the Plaza Blvd. location😇 Lilly, the manager here is outstanding too! Her and her team accomodated our family quickly and provided outstanding service to our large party. So happy they have a Golden Chopsticks closer to home🙏

It's overpriced, the chicken curry is flavorless. All could taste is green peppers. Our meals didn't come with rice, which had to be ordered separately; that's atypical for asian restaurants.

I only tried the half duck, as I was just passing by. It was tasty. Looked busy with a lot of East Asian clientele ordering a lot of food, which is typically a good sign of a good authentic restaurant. As you walk in smells amazing, so I think the food is pretty fresh. Prices are reasonable. I would need to try more dishes to decide if truly 5* by my standards. Update: had a full meal and I really enjoyed it. Not the level of a Michelin star level Chinese restaurant, but I think still deserves a 5*

Food is great. The salt and pepper wings are my favorite. Place is super busy. Expect to wait but they still move really fast for how busy they are. If you are to impatient don't take it out on the workers. I watched a lady yell at the employees. It was Christmas eve. They did a great job putting Karen in her place and continuing business. 👏 I will definitely order again
